1. Rec subsection: Store a long recording as smaller files automatically. Say you are going to record a lecture of 3 hours long. If you set the Record subsection as 30M, the recorder will save the recording as a separate file every 30 minutes. So you get 6 recordings of 30 minutes long instead of one recording of 3 hours long.

2. Noise Reduction: When you turn on Record Reduction Mode, the recorder will omit some high-pitch sound and takes down more mellow and deep voice.

3. Recording Monitor: To monitor the quality of the recording. When Rec Monitor is Open, you can hear what the recorder picks up via headphones during recording. It tells you exactly how the recording is, so you can know if there is too much noise, if the sound is too low for the recorder, thus to further set the Noise Reduction or move the recorder closer to sound source.

4. VOR Voice Control: Voice activated recording. In VOR mode, the recorder only records voice loud enough to activate recording and will omit silence to save storage space. You can adjust the threshold via Mic Sensitivity. The higher the value, the more sensitive the microphones. That means it will picks up lower voice. Please note, you still need to turn on the recorder, press the Record Button to initiate/save the recording.

5. Mic Sensitivity: It works together with VOR Voice Control, only functions in VOR mode. It's the threshold of VOR mode.

6. Timing-Rec: Set up a specific time for the recorder to start recording automatically.

1) Please try a different cable and charge it plugging into a computer in case of faulty cable.
2) Charge for 3 hours.
3) If it still doesn’t charge, contact us with your Amazon order number.

2. The recorder won’t upload to the computer.
Please try a different cable and a different computer in case there is an issue with the cable or the port in the computer. For quality issue with the cable or the recorder itself, please contact us with your Amazon order number.

3. My computer can’t play the recordings.
The recorder can record WAV and MP3 files. All Windows should be able to play WAV and MP3 files. If not, please install a program which can play WAV or MP3 files. If you use MAC, please convert WAV files to MP3 files via iTune, or install a program which can play WAV files. Next time before you make new recordings, set the file type to MP3 so the recorder saves recordings as MP3 files directly.

4. I can’t find the musical files uploaded to the recorder.
Please make sure the files you uploaded is in MP3 format or WAV format, and don’t create any folder for them, just lay them out in the memory.

Plug it into a computer to re-activate it.

6. The recorder is dead, will not turn on or charge.
Please hold down the power button for about 20 seconds to reboot it. Then plug it into a computer to activate it.

7. The recorder can only pick up loud sounds nearby.
1) Turn off Noise Reduction.
2) If it’s in Voice Activated Recording mode, set Mic Sensitivity as High.
3) Make sure the microphones are not covered.

8. There is hissing noise in recordings.
1) Turn on Noise Reduction. Please note it may omit some subtle sound.
2) Don’t put the recorder too close to sound source.
3) Don’t shake the recorder during recording.
It’s not likely to completely eliminate hissing noises. We can try to keep it in tolerable range.
